DIY Instructions
First, pull your seats and pull the console. Pull the upper dash compartment to get to the ignition switch.
You will need a short 1/2” drill bit -so you don’t have to pull the steering wheel.
Drill the hole so you can see the light from the driver's seat. The right side by the ignition switch seems to be the best place. Run the wire loom through the drilled hole and put the O-ring and nut on the backside of the light.
Connect the RED wire to the ORANGE wire on the back side of the Switch Connector, also labeled D. Run the BLACK wire through the firewall down to the start of the console. Run the wire along with the wiring loom that goes to the back of the motor. Use the wire ties that come in the kit to secure the BLACK wire to the loom.
Run the wire underneath the motor mount up to the starter wires and connect with wire ties. The plug is located on the right side of the motor in line with the oil filter. Remove the plug with a 3/8” ratchet. Install the bushing and the sending unit in the motor with a 7/8” wrench. Do not use the sending unit to tighten the bushing.
Connect BLACK wire to the sending unit.
To test the Oil Check System: Turn the key on, and the light should start blinking on/off until the motor is started. Once you start the motor, check for any oil leaks.
